Well yesterday's !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! was pretty well received, but the hunt continues to see if any of these things are actually worth the hassle and added expense of bringing over to these shores. So for today's offering, coming to you from Lucerne, Switzerland, is another car from the house of Pininfarina. While the hatchback Alfa 33 was born in house, to make it a longroof this !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! 's design was outsourced. This being a Quadrifoglio Verde trim means it was the sportiest of the Sportwagons, with a 1.7 liter flat four churning out a whopping 117 bhp. But it's a wagon, a stick, and clean. I figure around 7 grand to get it over all in. One owner, read translated description !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Considering that in 88 a Subaru GL with a 1.8l boxer will get you somewhere around 97 bhp and this wagon is smaller and lighter, it is likely pretty quick, and at least you don't have a spare tire to move to work on the motor!

Debadged rear looks pretty good, though it doesn't appear to have the commodious cargo area of my Buick Roadmaster woody. My dog might be a little pissed, but less so than that 130 coupe.

Seems like fair money for a QV model, and the price is negotiable. Here is a video of one going around a track, I think I see tire lift around the 20 second mark. Awesome

I must have that. My Milano needs a wagon brother.

15 years ago i was completely infatuated with the idea of just such a 33. This is everything that's good about a modern alfa - yes, it's FWD, but it has one of the better sorted fwd chassis on the market, especially for the age bracket, and it's also an alfa - everything good and bad about that comes included even in this very useful package. I never drove one, but they have a good reputation on the handling an character front, and were also pretty well equipped for their time - although that includes some electrics, that you might wish wasn't there, because part of the Alfa headache is to make all that peripheral stuff work.

Also, in the USA, this will be extremely rare, heck, even i don't see more than one 33 on the road per annum, here in central Europe - they are mostly gone now. So if you want something that's practical, economical, but also fun and is a rarity on the road, you might as well go for this.

haha yeah it looks to be so. Looks like a hell of an easy job to do a blower motor in at least. Plus it looks like it obviates the need for a strut brace
